In 1999, Geshe Michael was approached by Doubleday Publishing / Random House of New York to write a book about his experience in helping to build Andin Diamond into a $100 million operation by using ancient Buddhist principles of generosity and wisdom. This resulted in the publication of The Diamond Cutter: The Buddha on Strategies for Managing Your Business and Your Life. This has become an international bestseller translated into 20 languages and is currently used by companies, universities, and more than a million individuals around the world.
A tenth-anniversary edition issued in 2010 included success stories by users of the book, ranging from a professional ballerina to two secretaries in New York who used the book to help build a billion dollar advertising company from scratch.
Later he wrote several more books that were useful for wide use by every person.
