There is a system that works for achieving any goal you set. Always and 100% effectively. It can help fulfill any desire—guaranteed.
We are talking about the “Four-Step Method.”
This system comes from Tibet, from ancient wisdom that dates back 2,500 years. In its modern interpretation, it is presented by Geshe Michael Roach — a Tibetan monk, entrepreneur, renowned author, and teacher.
This is not secret knowledge, nor is it a mystical ritual. It is a tool available to absolutely everyone.

Step 1. Setting Your Goal
Formulating your goal may not be as easy as it seems—like trying to choose just three wishes from a genie.
Most people automatically think of money, fame, or comfort. But why do you want these things? And will they truly bring lasting happiness? The more money, fame, or comfort you acquire, the more you will crave. This leads to endless dissatisfaction.
Try asking yourself: What is my goal on a deeper level?
Why do I want money, fame, or comfort? What will I do with them? How will I use them?
Expand your goal beyond just personal desires — connect it to a greater vision for your life.
- Maybe you need money to open a yoga studio?
- Maybe fame will help you share wisdom with a larger audience?
- Maybe a comfortable life will allow you to help others more?
Having a clear, vivid, and detailed goal is crucial.
- What exactly does your yoga studio look like?
- What field did you become famous in?
- What does your comfort consist of?
Ready to define your goal?
If you have already formulated it—whether in your mind or written on paper, specific and well-visualized—then it’s time to move to Step 2.
Step 2. Finding Your “Angel”
Now, you need to search for a person whose goal is similar to yours. This is almost like a detective mission—finding someone who shares your dream. In the teachings of Geshe Michael Roach, we call this person an Angel, a karmic partner, or your key helper.
This person becomes the field where your success will grow.
I can only get what I want through you. Without other people, nothing is possible. I need you. And that is why your interests become my interests.
— Michael Roach, “The Eastern Path to a Happy Life”
Your task: Help them achieve their goal, which is similar to yours.
At first, this idea might seem counterintuitive—like helping your competition and reducing your own chances of success. But this is a false perception! By helping them, you are actually creating the causes for your own success.
You may feel like you’re giving too much, sacrificing yourself for someone else. But again, this is not true! In reality, this person is helping you.
Cherish them for it. They are your Angel, arriving at the perfect time to help you plant the seeds of success. And these seeds will grow—especially if you follow Step 4 correctly (but more on that later).
Step 3. Taking Action
Once you’ve set your goal and found your karmic partner, it’s time to actively help them. Call them, meet up, and ask: “How can I help you? What can I do for you?”
Remember, this person is truly important to you. You feel joyful speaking with them, and you sincerely want to help them succeed. Only with this attitude will the system work.
❗Important: You are not solving their problems for them.
Their goal may take time, even years, to materialize. Your help can take many forms—financial, emotional, or practical.
- If you don’t have money, help with your time.
- If you don’t have time, help with connections or advice.
- Find specialists, search for solutions, make phone calls—do what is realistically within your power.
The key is to cultivate a deep desire to help—to truly push your partner closer to their goal.
These actions plant seeds in your mind, which will blossom into your own success. And if you want a rich harvest, your field of good deeds must be vast.
This means helping regularly, over a long period. Some people never stop helping their karmic partner, even after achieving their own goal.
Step 4. The Power of Joy
This step is about celebrating and feeling pure joy from helping others. It is best done as a meditation – before sleep, during the day, or whenever you think of your karmic partner.
We fall asleep while actively thinking (meditating) about all the good we have done for others. This makes us happy. While we sleep, our mind cultivates these seeds, making them grow deep in our subconscious. We wake up joyful and completely refreshed.
Michael Roach, “The Karma of Love”
This step nurtures a state of deep happiness within you. When joy becomes a habit, you begin to live in a constant state of bliss. And each moment of this precious state will create even more happiness in your life.
Joy is an unstoppable force. And in it lies the secret to this system’s final step.
