The first two goals are financial independence and beautiful relationships. Geshe Michael introduces a method called the Four Steps to achieve these goals.
Four Steps to Financial Independence
- Decide what you want — for example, financial freedom to help others.
- Find someone who wants to start a business or a career.
- Help them one hour per week, for free, to support their plan.
- Do a special kind of meditation — think about the person you helped, be happy, send them love and power in your thoughts. This helps the seed grow faster.
Geshe Michael explains that this method helped his own business. He started with three people and a $50,000 loan. Today, his company is the largest jewelry company in the world and owns Jewelry.com (domain valued at $21 million). The company follows these principles, even helping their competitors.
Four Steps for a Beautiful Relationship
- Decide what you want — to find a beautiful partner or improve your current relationship.
- Find someone who is lonely — for example, an elderly person in a nursing home with no family.
- Visit them once a week for about one hour and help them. This plants a powerful seed.
- In the evening, do a short meditation. Be happy about helping this person. Be happy about using this new system — not online dating or clubs, but kindness — to find a partner. The right person will come into your life.
